Music Talks
Episode 26 - Lucy Boulter - Punching Above Her Weight
At the start of this episode Lucy Boulter describes herself as:
“a perfectly average middle-aged woman who has achieved relative success in a reasonably ordinary life”
For the next hour or so she then regales us with a series of fascinating stories (and great musical choices) that clearly show there is nothing average or ordinary about Lucy.
From being a child roadie at the age of 7, having her first newspaper front page spread at 16, driving massive change management at BT , starting a new business venture with her partner Emma to interviewing Paul Young , Tony Visconti and Earl Slick in recent years, she has ( to use her own phrase) consistently punched above her weight in a really impressive and interesting way.
In addition to all of the above Lucy is a dedicated Bowie devotee and has a series of fascinating and insightful stories about the great man and her life long interest in him and his work.
Finally, part of Lucy’s motivation for coming on to Music Talks is that she is celebrating her 50th birthday this year so she’s only just getting started. I for one cannot wait to see the next chapter of this story …….an episode not to be missed
